Data center site and power development, from 1 MW to 100 MW and beyond
LandUp finds, secures and develops sites for data centers. We look for powered shells, buildings that can be retrofitted, and land with a workable power route, and we build modular or conventional, whichever fits the site and the customer. Most of our sites are under 100 MW. For the right site we plan larger.
Power usually sets the schedule. Some sites already have service that can be upgraded. Some are closed plants or buildings where power, gas or a substation is already in place. Others need a different approach, and there we work with utilities, generation owners and equipment makers to find one. Timing varies from site to site, and each site page says what we know and what we do not.
Every site is checked for power, fiber, environmental clearance, zoning and buildability before we put more into it. We screen public data to build a shortlist, then confirm the details by visiting, talking with the utility and reading the documents.
On our site pages each fact is labeled by how well we know it: verified, stated, estimate or unknown. We would rather show a buyer what is still open than hide it.
We use power generation, cooling and compute infrastructure from established vendors and design each project around the site in front of us. Modular units suit some sites and conventional construction suits others. We build in phases when that helps the customer.
Large training campuses with hundreds of megawatts are the work of hyperscale developers. We work at a smaller scale, mostly for inference and similar workloads, where existing power or a clear power route makes a project workable.
For sites with the right power and land, we also develop capacity above 100 MW as demand and the site allow.
